Sissy was a stunning bitch. Her head and expression were glorious. She owned a beautiful front, lovely sweeping body with gentle curves coupled with generous angulation. She loved to trot and moved forward with great enthusiasm. She was a very popular bitch and enjoyed a loyal following. Our Emma is a new and improved version of Sissy. That is how it should be! A reluctant show dog herself, "Sissy" still managed to win a BISweeps under Cathy Gaidos, a specialty Best Puppy in Show and BOB from the classes along the way to her championship.
She was pure gold as a brood bitch. Of course her most famous offspring is Drake, but she caressed the breed with every litter she bore. It is rewarding to know she lives on in the pedigrees of many prominent breeders from all over the world. She ruled the roost on the waterbed at Oxford from 1989 until her passing at age 13. Her presence will be sorely missed.
